A Day At The Fair

Sooooo, it has been five months since I've posted anything!  Once you know you are behind, it's hard to get motivated to post anything.  But at the hounding encouragement of some family members, I am just going to start posting a few things, since the big arrival of Baby Girl is just around the corner and she will probably take up some real estate on the blog for awhile.

At the end of July, we had a special day as a family of five at the county fair.  Dan almost always works every Saturday on an 'on-call' basis, which pretty much always means he's gone a good part of the day.  We decided to take two cars and hit the fair at opening time (10am).  Then, if and when he got a phone call, he could take off and head to the office.  Well, the whole morning went by and he never got a call!  Even after we got home, he still never got any, so we got to enjoy a very rare WHOLE day together as a family.

After we came home, Dan took the kids swimming in our neighborhood pool.  Dan says it was the best day of the summer! Dan and the older two kids went back the next afternoon to do some 'big kid' rides that Benji was going crazy on Saturday wishing he could but couldn't.
