Friday was the last day of third grade for Matthew, and I made it the last day of Kindergarten for Claire. I can't believe the school year is already over! The weather has been fabulous and we enjoyed going with Matthew's class to Rood Bridge Park on his second to last day of school. Here they are blowing bubbles:

Emmaus' third grade class of 2014-2015. They are all a great group of friends!
Always need to have a silly pose, too!
I was in Matthew's classroom a few days before the end of school, and took this video of his class reciting 2 Peter 1:3-8. The whole school recited the passage during the awards ceremony on the last day of school. (Matthew is the one in the red shirt, closest to the camera):
There was a special awards ceremony at Matthew's school on his last day. Matthew received three awards: a Bible Memory award, a Character Trait award of 'courtesy' and a very special award, given to just one person in his class: The Citizenship Award. We are very proud of him!

Matthew with his wonderful teacher, Mrs Lanthrum:
Friday evening, we celebrated the end of school by going out to Red Robin. Then we came home to present Claire with a Kindergarten diploma.
It is such a blessing to be the teacher for our Sunshine Girl!
Claire memorized John 1:1-14 over the last few months. We had her recite it for us during our little ceremony. Dan's parents happened to be in town overnight, so they dropped by for our little festivities.
Claire got a K cake, just like big brother did three years ago!
Now let's get our summer on!! The next day, we went to a park that has a big water fountain with our friends, including Claire's friend Anna, who is going to be gone for most of the summer. I'm glad the girls could spend a little time together out in the sun.
Our neighborhood pool opened last weekend, too!
My lovely family got me a porch swing for Mother's Day. I plan on spending many hours out here this summer!
Playing in the backyard:
Popsicles with friends!
We had a picnic lunch and smoothies in the backyard for lunch today:
We are going to be working on some attitude issues this summer, and started a jar similar to this one last night. When they fill it up, we are taking a family trip to Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center. I'll let you know how it goes. =)
This summer, we look forward to a few trips to Grandma and Grandpa's in Bend, AND...a visit from my sister's family from England for a whole month. Let the fun begin!
