Hello family and friends,
Our blog has been silent for a few weeks, but it certainly hasn't been silent at our house! Yesterday marked the end of what keeps us most busy every Christmas - putting together the Christmas service at our church for the Sunday before Christmas. It took a lot of planning, preparing and practicing. We had a wonderful time of worship yesterday as we sang and marveled about our Emmanuel-God with us. We had our largest band yet - eight people - including our good friend Brigette playing her harp and Austin on lead guitar. (Only in our band can you have a harp and electric guitar together.) =) We thoroughly enjoyed the morning and are now glad to breath a little easier. In between all the planning, we have had lots of fun moments getting Christmas underway as a family. Since we haven't really posted any pictures during the Christmas season, I decided to make a little video montage of what we have been up to. Enjoy!
(In the Christmas program, Matthew is in the front row, right in the middle. He is making a gingerbread house with his Hickman cousins. The pictures of him and Dan standing in all the tree lights is a little display in Dilly called Storybook Lane where they have a little Mother Goose inspired village you can walk thru. We went there on Saturday evening. The sippy cup he is holding has hot chocolate in it!)
