Our Christmas

The procrastination is finally over...here are some photos from our various Christmas celebrations last month.  It was so fun to have a 4.5 year-old who was so excited about Christmas this year.
This is Matthew and his preschool Sunday School class in the Sunday School program at church.  They all dressed as sheep and recited verses about Jesus being the Lamb of God.
Here is Matthew reciting Isaiah 53:6 along with "the other Matthew" (to his left):

Dan and I got to see the Michael W Smith Christmas concert, along with Dan's parents.  It was beautiful!

Dan and I dressed in disguise in our local mall while the hi-school youth group looked for us.  Can you tell who is who?  =)

Linda's boyfriend, Christian, moved here from Paraguay right before Christmas.  Here, Claire is getting acquainted.  As usual, it didn't take long!

We had a Christmas party with our college Bible study group (Fusion).  This is just one of the many tables full of college kids!

We let Matthew open one present on Christmas Eve.  The anticipation is mounting...
A glow-in-the-dark solar system!

Here is Claire, getting ready to head to the Christmas Eve service at church:

Claire Rose, with her great-grandma, Peggy Rose, on Christmas Eve:

Dan's grandparents have been married for 67 years and counting!  Don't they make a handsome couple?

Matthew, warming up with some hot chocolate after looking at Christmas lights at Peacock Lane in Portland:

Matthew, opening up the LAST window on our advent calendar on Christmas morning:

Some scenes from Christmas morning:  Here, Matthew is FINALLY getting 2 light sabers!!

Claire still needed lots of assistance in opening gifts.  Here, my dad is helping her.  I bet she won't need any help next year!

Me and my aunt, making our annual cherry sauce for the ham at Christmas dinner:

Mathew, playing with his new (first!) Playmobil set:

Matthew's new hanging planets in his room.  They glow in the dark!

We celebrated with Dan's side of the family a few days after Christmas:

Matthew was excited to get a cozy Blazers blanket, made by his Aunt Linda:
Merry Christmas from the four of us!
