It's true...I know...Easter was a whole two months ago...but I finally am figuring out how to more efficiently upload pictures from my phone onto my computer. So, better late than never...here are some glimpses of our Spring Break and then Easter, which wrapped up the week. We enjoyed having my Aunt Carol come and visit from Chicago, which always gives us an excuse to go out and do some fun things. It worked out great that we happened to also be off school that week!
| We went to the zoo with our friend, Natasha |
| It was fun to see the new baby elephant! |
| It isn't a visit with Aunt Carol without some game-playing! |
| We spent a day at the Enchanted Forest in Salem, a fun little fairy-tale land you can walk through |
| Matthew, at the Hansel and Gretel house |
| Riding the bumper boats! |
| Aunt Carol had Benji nap on her so Matthew and I could go on a roller coaster ride |
| Back at home, we dyed Easter eggs |
| On Easter morning, we prepared our resurrection rolls, made to look like the wrapped up body of Jesus, covered in spices |
| We had Easter dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Hickman's. Here Claire is getting some special time with Great Grandma. |
| My first attempt at a resurrection cake. It was so fun to make! I might have to try doing it every year. |
| Then on to the Easter egg hunt! |
| It was a beautiful day. Benji enjoyed it all from the deck. |
| Not too bad of a family photo... =) |
| Spring is always so beautiful here. This is our cherry tree in our front yard. |

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
