Hickman Family Thanksgiving A-B-C's

Happy Thanksgiving!
A few days ago, we sat down as a family and came up with a list of the things we are thankful for.  Here it is!  You will probably be able to tell which ones the kids came up with. =)

A - Anna (Claire's friend)

B - Benjamin, Bunkbeds, (daily) Bread

C - Clothes to wear, Care Group, Cousins

D - Daddy, Disneyland trip

E - Eliana Joy, Eagle Fern Camp

F - Freedom to worship, Friends (Ian, Winston, etc.)

G - God's Grace, Good job, Games (playing as a family)

H - House, Home, Hope of Heaven

I - Impact Jiu Jitsu (I wonder who came up with this one?) =)

J - Jesus!!

K - Kindergarten with Mommy

L - Loving family (and that we all love each other throughout our extended family)

M - Mommy

N - New School (3rd grade at Emmaus for Matthew)

O - OMSI (Matthew went here for his 8th birthday)

P - Pool (we enjoyed our neighborhood pool for the first time this summer)

Q - Quality of life (we are so blessed to live in America, with a good job)

R - Relationships with Jesus

S - Stuffed animals, Sleepovers, Snow

T - Tractors (Benji!), Toys, Tickling

U - Universe (Matthew's idea) =)

V - Vacations (This year Dan and I had an unforgettable getaway to Chicago, an unforgettable family trip to Disneyland, and a few weekends in Sun River, OR to visit Dan's parents new home.)

W - Word of God, Westside Bible Fellowship, Wrestling with Claire

X - X-tra shoes.  (We have an abundance of material things that we try not to take for granted.)

Y - Yesterdays.  ("We praise You - the God of our yesterdays, We praise You - the God who is here today, We praise You - our God as tomorrow comes...")

Z - Zoo (We love our zoo membership and look forward to finishing off the year with our annual trip to zoo lights!)

As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, let's all remember to not only be thankful, but remember who we are thankful TO - the Giver of all good gifts, the Giver of life - Jesus!!

"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, I will recount all your wonderful deeds." Psalm 9:1
