A Special Visitor

A few weeks ago, my (Amy's) brother-in-law, Peter, came over from England for some speaking engagements in town. He brought along his second oldest daughter, Aliyah, who just turned six. We were able to spend a week together, and boy, did Matthew love his cousin!

Aliyah and Matthew disappeared in his room one afternoon and came out with Matthew in his Halloween costume. Aliyah had talked him into putting it on and did it all by herself. =)

I think there are a few too many guys in this picture. Yes, that is dolls they are playing with. Cabbage Patch Kids from my sister's and my childhood. (from left: Dan, Peter, Aliyah, Matthew, my dad)

Lunch together at Grandma's:

Dan, Matthew, and Aliyah jammin' to one of our favorite childrens singers, Colin Buchanan:

We took a trip to the Portland Children's Museum. Here they are at the Bob the Builder exhibit:
The Dig Pit (Matty's favorite):

Aliyah and Grandma at the clay station:

Aliyah and me, the night we said goodbye...

We miss you, Aliyah!
(The next person in their family to make a trip to Oregon will be my sister who is flying in after our baby is born!)
